Hello! My name is Naomi Boase and I am the Director of the Center for Intercultural Engagement and the Social Justice Resource Center at Northeastern. My work is focused on supporting historically marginalized students as we collectively navigate systems and societies that were not created with us in mind. It is my hope that programs like NU PLACE will help build historically marginalized students’ individual and collective sense of power here at Northeastern and beyond. These identity-based learning opportunities strengthen our sense of self in relation to the world, which inevitably strengthens our community.
