ARLINGTON, Va. — POLITICO today announced it is accepting applications for the 2024 session of The POLITICO Fellows, a competitive professional program that offers a select group of emerging journalists or aspiring professionals a front-row seat covering the biggest storylines dominating Washington.The 12-month program trains professionals in covering the White House, Congress and policy areas such as health care, trade, technology and finance. Reporting opportunities will include in-depth exploration of how key issues impact underrepresented communities. Upon successful completion of the program, participants are offered a full-time reporting role in the POLITICO newsroom.The POLITICO Fellows program seeks to empower journalists aspiring to jump-start a career in political and policy journalism. The fellowship program also reflects POLITICO’s commitment to newsroom diversity and the professional development of the next generation of journalists.“The POLITICO Fellows Program has become one of our most effective tools to help diversify the newsroom,” said John Yearwood, editorial director for diversity and culture at POLITICO. “Graduates of the program now occupy important reporting roles at POLITICO. We could not be more pleased.”Candidates with strong writing and analytical skills, the ability to work on a team and a passion to learn and grow at the most robust global news organization covering the intersection of politics and policy are encouraged to apply. POLITICO chooses Fellows for terms starting in both January and June to work from our HQ in Arlington, VA. Participants will receive compensation, benefits and will be invited to a full-time reporting role at POLITICO upon successful completion of the program.

Requirements: All applications must be completed and submitted by 12:00pm EST on Oct. 15, 2023. The 2024 fellows will be announced in December.
