Howdy! My name is Evan Velez (He/Him/They). I work as the new assistant Co-op to NU PLACE’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team. I am a fourth-year student majoring in International Affairs and History. As a born and raised Texan with deep Puerto Rican and Venezuelan roots, I have always had a passion for expanding the opportunities for marginalized communities in the workforce. My objectives for this term will be to promote student engagement in NU PLACE and to develop more cooperative events with other groups on campus.
